His & Hers Cocktails - Autumn Equinox

The end of summer is once again upon us.  Mind you, only by calendar date here in the South.  The heat and humidity still rage on.  There are some crazy people I know (the wife) lapping up every last bit of summer.  The rest of us, in the meantime, can't wait for that cool weather to hit.  So for tonight's cocktail we're mixing the best of both worlds.  We're using this summer's refreshing Pimm's #1 with some cold weather whiskey.  

His Cocktail - Whiskey Rebellion
1 oz Pimm's #1
1 oz Rittenhouse Rye
3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz Simple syrup
Lemon twist garnish

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all ingredients.  Shake until chilled.  Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube.  Garnish.

Her Cocktail - The Leading Role (Red Star Tavern)
3/4 oz Irish Whiskey
3/4 oz Scotch
1/2 oz Pimm's #1
3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all ingredients.  Shake until chilled.  Double strain into a Nick & Nora/coupe glass.
